UPDATE - 8/14/09 - For those who haven't heard, we've parted company with Greg Lucy and we've working with past drummer, Okey Parsons, to keep up the play schedule. Stay tuned as we don't expect any delays.
With the music industry changing more and more every day, it’s really hard to find a band that’s not just like every other band, and yet is still enough like what the labels look for to be a viable product. The band, A Course Of Action, is making a big splash in North Carolina brandishing truly melodic, radio-friendly, hard rock music.
Mike Borgia, of LuvBomb Records, once said, “The first time I heard Hybrid I was taken back by how polished the recording and the songwriting had been for a first release. These guys have all the elements for commercial appeal yet still manage to attract the indie audience with their crushing sound and their ability to work harder than the people behind them…..If you like good solid hard rock then Hybrid is the band to keep written on the back of your hand when out at a club." After three years of working the regional market as the band, Hybrid, decided that some changes needed to be made. Given the overwhelming need for internet presence, the band became A Course Of Action in 2006, and haven't looked back since.
With 300,000+ hits on national and international websites, and 72 locations to buy their music all over the world, they are a commercially viable unit with solid vocals, melodic radio-friendly hard rock music and a great look to woo the ladies. Pages such as www.myspace.com/acourseofactionmusic and www.youtube.com/acoaction gives the listener a closer view at John Culberson, Jonathan Byrd, Tony Hawkins and Okey Parsons.
